Transfer routes and timetable
Getting from Highbury to Heathrow Airport – while the transfer is relatively short (20 miles only), we do have to cross some of the most congested areas of London, taking A501, A40 and M4. Plan for at least one hour on the road.
Getting from Highbury to Luton Airport – we get on M1 in Edgware and drive due north to exit 10 and the New Airport Way. If we are lucky and we have moderate traffic, the 32-mile journey should not last more than one hour.
Getting from Highbury to Stansted Airport – the distance to Stansted is similar to the Luton route, just over 33 miles. Using the M11 motorway, we get to the airport in about one hour.
Getting from Highbury to Gatwick Airport – we head south on A102 and A2 to Dartford and when we reach exit 4 we merge onto the London Orbital. We drive to junction 7 and make a sharp turn southwards to Gatwick on M23 – the route is 51 miles long and requires between 90 and 100 minutes to cover.
